How do they make a work boot
Date Posted:31 July 2014
Ever wondered what's in your boot?
Actually, there are quite a number of components that make up any shoe (or boot). These include -
- a Sole (commonly called the outsole) and a Heel; these are the parts of any footwear that actually contact the ground
- an Upper, comprising a Quarter, Vamp, Heel Counter, Tongue and Trim; these are all work together to keep your foot inside the boot
- an Insole (also referred to as an Insock), providing support and cushioning for the foot
The sole is attached to the upper by stitching or glueing and this is called the Welt. Rollins Boots are double stitched (and in places, triple stitched) for maximum strength. Adding a Steel Toe Cap ensures your boots are both strong and safe.
